This is the time of the year that often makes parents cringe. They love the holidays, but not the excess. They love their kids, but know that they already have a lot of, well, a lot of everything. And soon, they will have more. Toys, clothes, video games, board games, puzzles, stuffed animals, collectibles, sports equipment…you name it. No matter what holiday you celebrate, gifts are common. Family members like to buy things for kids and it’s hard to say no. So, right now is the perfect time to do some decluttering. Perhaps you can identify a charity that you and your kids care about and donate your items, giving your possessions a second life and giving you room to breathe in your spaces before (and after!) the new gifts are opened.
