Emergency Organization

Emergency organization is on everyone’s mind these days, following the myriad of earthquakes and hurricanes.  Everyone should have some basic supplies on hand in order to prepare for and survive for at least 3 days if an emergency in  your area occurs.  Below are some ideas, but you will need to personalize your emergency kit to reflect your specific needs.  Visit www.Ready.gov for more information and tips.

-Water (3 gallons per person)

-Food (non perishable for 3 days)

-Flashlight and extra batteries

-Cash

-Medications (7 day supply)

-Blankets

-First Aid Kit

-Personal Hygiene kit, wet wipes

-Change of clothes

-Multi use tools

-Copies of important documents (i.e. insurance policies, bank accounts)

-Waterproof bags

-Pet food and water
