When you take on decluttering projects, sometimes the projects become a lot bigger than you expected. The space can look worse before it looks better. When we pull out items that have been hidden away for years in drawers or cabinets, our spaces fill up quickly with a large volume of stuff. If you find yourself in this situation, try these tips:

*Know your peak energy time of day. Try to declutter when you have the most energy.

*Put on some music that you enjoy to help keep you moving and motivated.

*Step up the pace by setting a timer. Achieve what you can in the time allotted.

*Complete one space or category before moving on to the next.

*Reward yourself. After you have completed what you set out to get done, reward yourself with a walk, a fun errand, a coffee or a chat with a friend.
